Mohammad Mohiul Hoque, Abul Kalam Rashad Ahmed, Mahfuz Ara Sultana, Tasnifa Khanam, Shahnawaz Ali, Leon Asad, Gazi Salahuddin Siddiquee, Mohammad Khurshed Alam and Jotish Chandra Roy from different primary and high schools in the country were selected by Microsoft as Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts (MIE Expert) for 2015 for their excellence in using technology to help students learn and achieve more –and ultimately succeed in a mobile-first, cloud-first world.

Sarana Islam, Education Lead, Microsoft Bangladesh and Professor Md. Hamidul Haque, Director, Training, Directorate of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Education handed over the certificates and crests to the innovative educators at an event organized in a convention center at the capital on 30th  December 2014, Tuesday.

“Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts are inspiring examples of how individuals are using technology to increase students’ productivity and develop the skills needed in the workplace,” said Anthony Salcito, Vice President, Worldwide Education, Microsoft Corp. “With innovative use of mobile and cloud technology, these educators are transforming learning environments and delivering more personalized education to students, allowing them to do more and achieve more.”

“Being selected as a MIE Expert is an amazing honor,” said Abul Kalam Rashad Ahmed. “I look forward to continue finding innovative ways to equip students with the proper tools needed to succeed in the new world of work.”

Each year, Microsoft selects MIE Experts to be part of an exclusive global community that is paving the way for their peers to share ideas, try new approaches, and learn from each other. This year, Microsoft selected more than 800 thought leaders in innovative learning who possess technological prowess and the desire to amplify their reach and voice. MIE Experts work closely with Microsoft to lead innovation in education, build educator capacity for using technology to improve student learning, and advocate and share their experiences in how technology improves teaching and learning. In addition, they mentor other educators and help train them in education technologies and Microsoft products and tools.

I am  Jotish Chandra Roy ,  math teacher, Taluk Shakhati High School, Lalmonirhat,Bangladesh. I live in a small village . I have  20 years’ experience in teaching. My vison  has been to explore new technologies of teaching  in classroom. I want  to be preparing students to be creators of technology tools  simply users of technology. my first target  of my  students and helping them grow as people, both in and out of the classroom. I love technology because ICT is the best method in our classroom activity for students .

Bangladesh is endowed with a large pool of intelligent young citizens who, with proper education, can be turned into a valuable human resource befitting the needs of the 21st century.

Secondary schools, using one laptop with internet connection and a multimedia projector per classroom. These classrooms have also succeeded in enhancing quality of classroom learning, drawing deeper attention from students and making teachers more effective in communicating difficult ideas.

Multimedia classrooms, digital contents and teacher training together will improve overall quality of learning in primary and secondary education by promoting effective and participatory learning and eliminating unnecessary memorizing tendencies.

Multimedia classroom make teaching and learning more effective and enjoyable for both students and teachers using ICT Multimedia Classrooms in secondary schools
